Gianna Ramirez

Gianna Christina Ramirez is a lifelong Texan, a proud pansexual transgender woman, and an outspoken advocate whose life and work are deeply rooted in service to the Houston LGBTQ+ community. Her commitment to creating welcoming spaces began at age 14 when she founded her high school’s Gay-Straight Alliance, launching a lifelong journey of leadership, service, and advocacy work that strengthens and uplifts the community.
A seasoned nonprofit professional, Gianna has held leadership roles across development, fundraising, volunteer coordination, community engagement, and communications, bringing strategic clarity, cultural fluency, and heart to every organization she serves.
Beyond her professional career, Gianna is a highly engaged civic leader and community volunteer. She serves as Secretary of The Diana Foundation’s Board of Governors, actively contributing her talents through committee service, community outreach, and organizational leadership to honor the foundation's rich legacy while helping shape its future. She is also an active member of Bunnies On The Bayou, ERSICSS, and The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. Expanding her impact nationally, Gianna serves on the National Advisory Board for Gay America Esquire, the male division of the Miss Gay America pageantry system.
With a legacy of sustained community service, Gianna’s leadership and impact have been widely recognized. She is the proud recipient of multiple OutSmart Magazine Gayest & Greatest Awards, including Most Valuable Female Trans Community Volunteer, Leading Trans Community Fundraiser, and Most Valuable Female Volunteer. She was also honored with the 2025 Monica Roberts Resource Center Building The Future Award and named a 2026 finalist for Female-Identifying Grand Marshal for Pride Houston 365.
A compelling public speaker, activist, and corporate presenter, Gianna has done extensive work to advance transgender visibility and representation across corporate, nonprofit, and civic institutions. Her advocacy is grounded in lived experience and driven by a lifelong commitment to equity, accountability, and building communities where transgender people are not merely included, but centered, celebrated, and granted a true sense of belonging.
