Ashton Chandra

Ashton Chandra was born in Kerala, India, and moved to Dallas, Texas, at the age of four. He comes from a family deeply rooted in service and professionalism—his mother is a retired healthcare leader who served as Assistant Director of Nursing at Baylor Dallas, and his father, a former officer in the Indian Air Force, went on to earn a degree in biomedical engineering and work at Abbott Laboratories until retirement.

 

Ashton is part of a close-knit family that includes his brother Arun, an engineer based in California with his wife, a healthcare professional, and their daughter. At home in Texas, Ashton shares his life with two beloved dogs—Jack, a Maltipoo, and Tokio, a Maltese—and his partner of 25 years, Joseph.

 

Professionally, Ashton is an accomplished finance expert and currently serves as Assistant Vice President at CitiBank in the Securities and Derivatives division. With a specialization in hedge fund operations and regulatory compliance, he oversees complex functions such as NAV calculations, fund valuations, and reconciliation of cash and holdings. Ashton also plays a critical role in onboarding new hedge funds, preparing financial statements, and mentoring junior staff, while serving as a subject matter expert in procedural analysis and regulatory frameworks across both U.S. and international banking systems.

 

Ashton has been a familiar face in The Diana Foundation community for many years and became a full member in 2021. He has proudly served on the Board since 2023, continuing to bring his dedication, professionalism, and inclusive spirit to the organization.
