The Diana Foundation, America’s oldest continuously active LGBTQ+ organization, is proud to announce it has been awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, the highest level of recognition for nonprofit accountability and impact. This designation places The Diana Foundation among an elite group of nonprofit organizations nationwide that demonstrate exceptional transparency, clearly defined goals and strategies, and measurable outcomes.

The Platinum Seal is awarded to organizations that go beyond basic reporting to share comprehensive information about their mission, leadership, programs, and the tangible impact of their work. By achieving this level, The Diana Foundation affirms its commitment to accountability, data-driven decision-making, and meaningful community impact.

“The Diana Foundation has always been rooted in community, philanthropy, and purpose,” said Tanner Williams, President of The Diana Foundation. “Earning the Platinum Seal of Transparency reflects not only our historic legacy as America’s oldest continuously active LGBTQ+ organization, but also our forward-looking commitment to measurable impact, responsible stewardship, and building a sustainable future for the LGBTQ+ community.”

Through its signature fundraising programs, including the annual Diana Awards, The Diana Foundation generates critical funding to support LGBTQ+ nonprofit organizations and initiatives. In recent years, the organization has expanded its philanthropic vision by establishing and growing a permanent endowed scholarship fund in partnership with Out for Education, ensuring long-term support for future generations of LGBTQ+ students.

In addition to its immediate charitable contributions, The Diana Foundation continues to invest in strategies that strengthen the broader LGBTQ+ nonprofit ecosystem, support youth and community services, and increase access to education.

The Platinum Seal of Transparency underscores the organization’s commitment to providing donors, sponsors, and community partners with clear insight into how funds are raised, managed, and distributed to maximize impact.
