The University of Houston LGBTQ Alumni Network invites you to attend Red Dinner 2026: The Roaring Red, an unforgettable evening of celebration, philanthropy, and Cougar pride benefiting LGBTQ+ student scholarships and emergency crisis aid at the University of Houston. As the Network's signature annual fundraising gala, Red Dinner helps ensure LGBTQ+ students have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Inspired by the glamour and excitement of the Roaring Twenties, Red Dinner 2026 will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, bringing together alumni, students, community leaders, and supporters.

Open Dance Project
Founded in 2015, Open Dance Project is a Houston-based contemporary dance company known for creating innovative performances that make dance accessible, engaging, and relevant to diverse audiences.
Open Dance Project will take the stage as part of the inaugural HTX Contemporary Festival on June 24, 2026, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Hosted by Houston Contemporary Dance Company, this two-day celebration of contemporary dance will feature performances, master classes, and community conversations designed to bring Houston's arts community together.
The festival showcases Houston Contemporary Dance Company alongside acclaimed local guest companies, including Open Dance Project, Mezclada Dance Company, and The Black Angels Collective, highlighting the talent and diversity of Houston's contemporary dance scene.
